Hey, Trainers!

I hope that everyone that attended the Regional Championships up in Athens a few weeks ago had fun! I was up there that weekend judging the TCG Senior Division, and the VG Masters Division.

Has anyone been able to go out to any of the official Dark Explorers Pre-Releases yet? If not, it’s not too late. There will be one more chance this weekend up in Lilburn on Sunday. The information is provided in the Tournaments tab above.

Also, not listed in the Tournaments tab, there will be a Dark Explorers release event on Saturday, May 12 at Comics Plus in Macon. If you are interested in attending, click here for more information. Will, the League Owner up there is the TO for the event, and intends to run it in the Limited-Sealed Deck Format, the same style as the Pre-Releases ($25 registration includes 6 packs to build a 40-card deck, and 2 packs at the end of the event). Keep in mind that League will still be scheduled at Heroes and Villains unless cancelled otherwise by Gryphon as I will not be there since I was asked to judge at this event. Although the release date for Dark Explorers is on May 9, this tournament is ideal for those of you who will be buying cards from this set for the first time or just want to come out and earn even more cards!

*SPOILER ALERT*
Rare EX cards from Dark Explorers include Groudon, Kyogre, Darkrai, Raikou, Entei, and Tornadus. These cards come in regular print and a full-art print. Secret rare cards include Archeops, Gardevoir, and Pokemon Catcher, and these cards are re-printed from previous Black and White sets as “shiny.”

The average pull ratio for a regular print EX card is 2 in each booster box.
The average pull ratio for a full art EX card is 1 in each booster box.
The average pull ratio for a secret rare card is 1 in 3 booster boxes.

Let me know if you have any questions!
